Gluten-Free, Vegan, Serves 1
Ginger Syrup:
- 1/2 cup date syrup
- 1 inch ginger sliced
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
- 8 mint leaves
- Spiced Rim:
- 1 Tbsp coconut sugar
- cayenne pepper to taste
- 1 Tbsp stevia sugar
Drink:
- 1/4 cup pomegranate juice
- juice 1 lime
- 1/4 cup grapefruit juice
- 2-4 Tbsp ginger syrup
- Zevia ginger ale
- *2 ounces tequila (optional)
Directions:
Prepare the syrup by combining all the ingredients in a pan and heating up. Don’t overheat the sugars will crystalize if you do. The goal is to warm the ingredients together, not cook them so keep the heat low. Prep the sugared rim. Once you have rimmed the glass, combine the remaining ingredients and serve over ice.
