Gluten-Free, Vegan, Serves 4
Ingredients:
- 2 cups unsweetened coconut milk
- 2 cups frozen strawberries
- 1 ripe banana
- 2 tablespoons ground flaxseeds
- 1 tablespoon agave syrup
- 1 teaspoon ground maca powder
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Ice cubes
Directions:
If your strawberries are not already frozen, wash them, remove the stems, and freeze them beforehand. Peel the ripe banana and break it into chunks. Combine the almond milk, frozen strawberries, banana chunks, ground flaxseeds, agave syrup, ground maca powder, and ground cinnamon in a blender. Add a few ice cubes if you prefer a thicker consistency for your shake. Blend all the ingredients together on high speed until smooth and creamy.
Stop the blender and scrape down the sides to ensure all ingredients are well incorporated. Taste the strawberry shake and adjust the sweetness or flavoring if needed. Add more maple syrup for extra sweetness or more cinnamon for a stronger flavor, if desired. Once the shake reaches your desired consistency and taste, pour it into serving glasses. Garnish the strawberry shake with a fresh strawberry or a sprinkle of ground cinnamon on top for presentation, if desired.
